Honored to Receive the 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate Distinction

I am proud to share that my campaign has been awarded the 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction.

This recognition reflects not only my commitment to advocating for common-sense gun safety policies, but also the work I have already done to help make our communities safer.

During my time serving in the administration of former Governor Phil Murphy, I helped lead the charge on the passage of a comprehensive gun safety package that strengthened New Jersey's firearm laws and helped make our state one of the toughest places in the nation to purchase a firearm. This work was rooted in a simple belief: every family deserves to feel safe in their home, their school, and their community.

Gun violence is not a partisan issue—it is a public safety issue. Every child deserves to feel safe in their classroom. Every parent deserves peace of mind when sending their children to school. Every resident deserves to live, work, worship, and gather without fear.

As a candidate for public office, I believe we have a responsibility to pursue solutions that save lives while respecting responsible gun ownership. This distinction signals to voters that I am committed to governing with gun safety in mind and continuing the fight for policies that protect our communities.

I am grateful to Moms Demand Action and Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund for recognizing candidates who are willing to stand up and advocate for meaningful action. While this distinction is not an endorsement, it is an acknowledgment of the importance of prioritizing gun violence prevention and public safety.

The fight is far from over. Too many families have experienced the pain and trauma of gun violence. We owe it to them to continue advancing policies that save lives, support survivors, and create safer communities for future generations.
