South Orange Fundraiser Brings Community Together Ahead of Election Day
With Election Day approaching, I have brought together community leaders, elected officials, and supporters for a fundraiser at Giorgio’s Restaurant in South Orange on October 7. The event celebrated the growing support behind my campaign and underscored the importance of investing in organizing, voter engagement, and a democracy that works for everyone.
The evening welcomed distinguished guests, including East Orange Mayor Ted Green, Essex County Sheriff
Amir Jones, Mayor of the City Orange Township Dwayne Warren, and South Orange Village Mayor Sheena Collum. Essex County Democratic Committee Chairman LeRoy Jones and Mayor Collum offered remarks in support of the campaign, highlighting the importance of leadership, community engagement, and participation in the democratic process.
Every contribution, every conversation, and every show of support makes a difference in this campaign. I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has invested in our vision and believes in the importance of ensuring that every voice is heard. As we move closer to Election Day, we must continue to organize, engage our neighbors, and make sure our communities are represented,” said Muhammad.
As a candidate committed to public service, economic opportunity, and equitable representation, I am focused on connecting with voters throughout District 3, which includes East Orange, Orange, South Orange, and Newark’s West Ward. My campaign is working to reach more residents, strengthen community engagement, and encourage greater voter participation across the district.
Contributions to the campaign help power these efforts by supporting voter outreach, grassroots organizing, campaign communications, and initiatives designed to increase turnout. With the general election scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026, every resource helps the campaign connect with more voters and share its vision for Essex County’s future.
There is still time to get involved. Residents who want to support can volunteer, help spread the word, contribute to the campaign, and encourage their neighbors to make their voices heard at the ballot box.
Together, we can build a stronger Essex County and support a democracy that is fair and open to all.
