A Milestone Moment: My First Endorsement from Communications Workers of America District 1
I’m proud to share an exciting and deeply meaningful milestone in our campaign for Essex County Commissioner: receiving my very first endorsement—from Communications Workers of America (CWA) District 1.
This moment is special. Not just because it’s the first, but because of what it represents. CWA District 1 stands for the values that are at the heart of this campaign—fair wages, strong worker protections, and dignity for working people. Their endorsement signals that our message is resonating with those who keep our communities running every day.
Labor has always been the backbone of progress in places like Essex County. From fighting for better working conditions to advocating for economic justice, unions like CWA have helped shape a more equitable future for all of us. To have their support at this early stage is both humbling and energizing.
As someone who has spent my career in public service and community advocacy, I understand how critical it is to have leaders who will stand up for workers and their families. This endorsement reinforces my commitment to building an economy that works for everyone—not just a select few.
But this is just the beginning.
With this first endorsement, we are building momentum—and we’re just getting started. I’m excited to continue earning the trust and support of organizations and residents across our district as we move closer to the June 2 primary.
Thank you to CWA District 1 for believing in this campaign and in the vision we’re fighting for. Together, we’re building a stronger, more inclusive Essex County.
